17 December 2021BPB pays business zakat of RM150,000 to MAINS
20 December 2021We continuously find new ways and strategies to improve our performance. With the advancement in plantation technology, investing in mechanisation is one way to keep us on top of the game.
Implementing new technology by providing better tools in our estates and mills will not only increase our productivity but also reduce the need of labour-intensive work in plantation.
In realising our intention, our Sungai Jernih Business Unit has taken the initiative by introducing a new harvesting machine that can improve harvesting productivity at their estates. The battery-powered lightweight machine can be used in areas with various palm heights – up to 19 ft – as it comes with an adjustable pole.
The new machines were presented by Boustead Plantations Berhad’s Head of Performance Monitoring Office Rozaini Abd Ghani to Head of Sungai Jernih Business Unit Shaikh Zamani Shaikh Saaid in a brief ceremony held at Bebar Estate recently.
By increasing our efforts in mechanisation, we remain committed in our aspiration to become a sustainable, technology-based plantation company in the near future.
