Sungai Jernih BU explores new harvesting machine to improve productivity20 December 2021
Recently, Boustead Plantations Berhad (BPB) received a visit from Jabatan Hal Ehwal Veteran (JHEV) for a session with the second batch participants of our Boustead Green Army (BGA) initiative.
The visit by JHEV’s Career and Socioeconomic Division Assistant Director Lt Mohd Zulfadzlie Mohd Zaki was held at our Bukit Mertajam Estate in Kedah.
BGA is an initiative to provide employment opportunity to Malaysian Armed Forces retirees in our plantation. A special collaboration between BPB, Yayasan LTAT and JHEV, BGA was conceptualised by putting the welfare of retired members of the Armed Forces in mind.
Under the BGA initiative, Armed Forces retirees aged 45 and below are recruited to work with us as part of our special harvesting team. Early this month, we have conducted a training session for the first batch of BGA participants, which concluded on December 11.
