As a socially responsible plantation company, it is our duty to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our workers in estates and mills. Often, such responsibility extends to the communities living in the proximity of our operations.

In support of Government’s initiative to increase the rate of vaccination of general populace against COVID-19, the management of our Segaria Estate and Mill in Semporna, Sabah, recently organised a COVID-19 booster dose programme for the workers and community members in the area.

The programme which was held on 1 and 12 February 2022 saw more than 600 people consisting of estate and mill workers, family members and residents of nearby community received their booster shots to build up protection against COVID-19 infection.

The social responsibility initiative was done in collaboration with Semporna District Health Office in an effort to ramp up COVID-19 vaccination, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

As a company that adheres to the principles of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), we hold to our pledge of providing a healthy, conducive and sustainable environment to not only our employees but to the general populace.

Since the emergence of COVID-19 pandemic, we have collaborated with government health agencies and various other organisations to provide vaccination access to our estate and mill workers nationwide.
