“We eat here. We sleep here.”

For Vernnah and her family, home is a small makeshift hut, isolated at a remote land in Kampung Rosob near Pitas, Sabah. The family of 11 has relied on this humble shelter to keep them away from rain and sun for over 18 years.

Live is a daily struggle, with no electricity and no running water. The family depends on a nearby river for water sources. Vernnah husband, Aidil, works tirelessly by taking on any odd jobs he can find to support their family. Often, the pay is barely enough to cover the essentials.

Understanding the challenges they face, BPlant recently paid a visit to offer a helping hand. Our team, led by Lembah Paitan Estate Manager Mohd Ridzuan Mat Piah and Sungai-Sungai 3 Manager Nizam Mohd Noor, presented the family with essential food supplies and financial assistance to help ease their burden.

We believe that a small act of kindness can go a long way. We are honoured to be able to support Vernnah, Aidil, and their family, and will continue to extend a helping hand wherever we can.
