Boustead Plantations Berhad pressed on to fulfil our social obligation to the community with the recent presentation of zakat wakalah payment to 150 Malaysian Armed Forces veterans.

The latest corporate social responsibility initiative was held in Sibu, Sarawak, last Saturday in cooperation with Persatuan Veteran Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (PVATM).

Presenting the zakat wakalah was BPlant Head of Kanowit-Tinjar Business Unit Mohd Yatim Saini, witnessed by PVATM President Captain (Rtd) Datuk Sharuddin Omar. Also present were BPlant Head of Communications Hazranshah Abd Hamid and Sarawak PVATM President Jimbau Galau.

BPB recognises and appreciates the role of ATM in safeguarding the safety and sovereignty of our country and its citizens. We hope such initiative will go a long way towards improving the welfare of our army veterans.
