29 December 2021Today, we fulfil our obligation to the asnaf in Penang by paying a business zakat of RM270,000 to Zakat Pulau Pinang.
The payment was presented by BPB Director Datuk Shah Headan Ayoob Hussain Shah to Penang Deputy Chief Minister I Dato’ Ahmad Zakiyuddin Abdul Rahman at a ceremony held at Zakat Pulau Pinang head office in Bukit Mertajam.
The payment today is part of the RM3.2 million business zakat obligation for financial year 2021 that is paid to zakat institutions nationwide.
BPB ensures that it fulfils its zakat obligation which in turn support communities in need, especially amongst the asnaf.
Our business zakat payment will go to assist communities in need nationwide, especially among those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent floods.
