Preparing before an emergency incident plays a vital role in ensuring that employers and workers have the necessary knowledge to keep themselves safe during any unfortunate events.

Our Tawai Palm Oil Mill in Sabah recently conducted an emergency awareness course for its employees and workers to instill alertness and understanding in the prevention and preparation of emergency state.

The training was conducted with cooperation from Beluran Fire and Rescue Department.

The training covered the understanding of Fire and Resuce Department’s role, possible causes of emergencies and prevention measures. A brief demonstration on fire control was also held.

Such exercise is important as it helps in building confidence among estate workers in the event of real emergency.

Similar trainings are periodically being held in our estates and mills as we continue to maintain a healthy, conducive and sustainable working environment for our staff and workers.
