Zero-burning: A practice for sustainable future
29 November 2021In our pursuit towards sustainability, we continuously engage with external parties to explore new methods in unlocking values from our day-to-day operations.
Recently, we have had a fruitful discussion with delegates from School of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Penang Campus and Koperasi Usahawan Cendawan Kelantan Berhad (KOKULAC) to expand ideas in our strategy for mill integration.
Leveraging on the advancement in plantation technology and internet of things, new avenues can be created to optimise the potential of our mills nationwide. We are continuously exploring the initiatives on turning waste into wealth.
The discussion was attended by a team from Boustead Plantations Berhad, which was represented by En. Khairudin Ibrahim, Head of Strategy and Corporate Development. Also present were Dr. Hamid Yusoff, who represented UiTM delegates, and En. Hasmi Hassan from KOKULAC.
Guided by the principle of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Boustead Plantations Berhad remain committed in exploring new strategies to fulfil our aspiration in becoming a sustainable, technology-based plantation company.
