Boustead, Boustead Plantations appoint new directors

4 February 2022Boustead Plantations Berhad yesterday presented a business zakat payment of RM260,753 to Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak as part of its commitment to help the asnaf community in the state.
In a ceremony held in Kuching, BPB Director Dr. Salihin Abang presented a mock cheque of payment to Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak General Manager Datu Haji Abang Mohd Shibli bin Haji Abang Mohd Nailie. Also present was BPB CEO Zainal Abidin Shariff.
Delegation from BPB were also brought for a tour to Ummah Distribution Centre, a place created by Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak specifically for the purpose of providing for the needy.
BPB has paid RM3,217,153 to fulfil its business zakat obligation for the financial year ending 31 December 2021, which goes towards zakat institutions and eligible zakat recipients nationwide.
BPB operates 6 palm oil estates and 2 palm oil mills in Sarawak, with a total area of 26,524 hectares in Miri and Sibu.
