A total of 150 veterans of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) received aid in the form of zakat wakalah during a corporate social responsibility programme held by BPlant last Sunday in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
The programme was part of our initiative to distribute zakat wakalah to army veterans. Similar programmes were previously held to assist the group throughout the country.
Presenting the zakat wakalah at the recent event was BPlant Head of Trong Business Unit Abd Roup Awang, witnessed by Persatuan Veteran Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (PVATM) President Captain (R) Datuk Sharuddin Omar. Also present were Penang PVATM President Mohamad Saufee Hasan and BPlant Head of Communications Hazranshah Abd Hamid.
The zakat wakalah presentation to army veterans is a continuous programme held by BPlant as a way to recognise and appreciate the role of ATM in safeguarding the safety and sovereignty of our country. The programme is held with cooperation from PVATM.
