Boustead Plantations Berhad (BPlant) is committed in creating value to the community to ensure a sustainable long-term growth for not only us, but others along our supply chain.

As part of our Supplier Support and Development Programme, our Sustainability and Safety Department (SSD) recently held an engagement with BPlant outgrowers and smallholders at Telok Sengat Palm Oil Mill in Johor.

The engagement for this pilot project was led by BPlant Head of SSD Azmariah Muhamed and participated by all fresh fruit bunches (FFB) suppliers at our Telok Sengat operations.

The pilot project enabled us to communicate the objective of the programme and the benefit derived from this initiative to our FFB suppliers. It was also to promote and encourage them to participate in RSPO certification and adopt good sustainable oil palm practices in their operations.

This initial engagement is to gain feedback through survey on their current practices and their interest to participate in the programme.
