Shouts of ‘Malaysia’ roared in Menara Boustead as Boustead Plantations Berhad (BPlant) held our Hari Malaysia celebration today.

Staff of BPlant filled the celebration with their colourful traditional attire, signifying the unity and diversity of our country.

Also joining the celebration online was BPlant estates and mills throughout the country, with each operating units displaying their unique cultural elements representing their respective states.

BPlant Chief Executive Officer Zainal Abidin Shariff in his opening speech called for all to embrace the spirit of patriotism and take pride in calling ourselves ‘Malaysians’.       

He added that any events and programmes that could inculcate a sense of patriotism should be amplified throughout the year.

Also attending the celebration were BPlant Chief Financial Officer Mohamad Mahazir Mustaffa and Head of Plantations Planning and Monitoring Anuar Semail.

In the build up to the Hari Malaysia celebration, several events including office decoration and fashion show were also organised, which saw great participation from all staff.

Daun sirih di dalam dulang,
Menjadi hantaran majlis beradat,
Rakyat dibela pemimpin dijulang,
Malaysia merdeka kekal berdaulat.

Jalur Gemilang bendera negara,
Tanda Malaysia negara merdeka,
Sambutan kemerdekaan besar ertinya,
Jangan dinodai dosa dan noda.

Our Hari Malaysia celebration came to a conclusion with all attending singing to the tune of ‘Keluarga Malaysia’.

Ayuh kita,
Bersama bangunkan semula,
Rapatkan,
Hatimu hapuskanlah kebencian.

Ayuh kita,
Zahirkan impian bersama,
Menjunjung,
Semangat yang bernama keluarga Malaysia.
