Fully embracing the right of children to education, we have established a number of Humana schools and Community Learning Centres (CLCs) in our plantations.

Humana schools have been developed in Sabah and Sarawak by the Borneo Child Aid society to cater for immigrant children irrespective of their country of origin, whereas CLCs have been built in collaboration with the Indonesian Consulate and the approval of Malaysia’s Ministry of Education.

For remote plantations in Peninsular Malaysia, pre-schools are established in collaboration with Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat.

We believe the right to education should not be denied to anyone, regardless of their background. The establishment of these learning institutions has benefitted hundreds of children of our plantation workers.
