Boustead Plantations Berhad today hosted a visit to our asset in Selangor with representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) in initiating efforts towards food security enhancement in Malaysia.

Present at the visit were MAFS Director-General Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) Chief Executive Dato’ Ahmad Nazim Abd Rahman and Boustead Plantations Berhad Acting Chief Executive Officer Fahmy Ismail.  Also present were Department of Agriculture Malaysia (DOA) Deputy Director Dr Sukati Sakka and representatives from Boustead Properties.

The visit marked a significant step in realising the government’s effort to advance the national food security agenda further.

As outlined in Budget 2023, LTAT will collaborate with the Ministry of Defence and the MAFS to pilot a large-scale domestic grain corn farming project in support of the agenda.
