Recently, our Kanowit-Tinjar Business Unit in Sarawak conducted its External Stakeholders Meeting for the year 2022 as part of Boustead Plantations Berhad’s community engagement initiatives.

The meeting was participated by authorities and community members in the vicinity of our Business Unit operations, including representatives from government departments, suppliers, contractors and long house residents.

The engagement provided an avenue for our external stakeholders to engage in a direct communication with plantation managers on its operations, particularly on our compliance towards sustainability.

Among items discussed at the engagement was the importance of Malaysian Sustainability Palm Oil (MSPO) certification programme.

External engagement is an integral component in our plantation operations as we progressively pursue the principles of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in conducting our business.
