Through cooperation with Persatuan Veteran Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (PVATM), we continue to play our active role in contributing to the welfare of army veterans, particularly through social initiatives.
Staying true to our aim, we filled our weekend agenda by conducting a zakat wakalah payment programme in Sabah, benefitting more than 200 veteran members of Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM).
The first programme that was held in Semporna on Saturday saw 100 army veterans presented with zakat wakalah payment. The programme was attended by PVATM President Captain (Rtd) Datuk Sharuddin Omar, BPlant Segaria Mill Manager Razif Rizuwan and PVATM Semporna Branch Head Mohd Tahir Sawabi.
This was followed by another zakat wakalah payment in Sandakan, which saw 110 ATM veterans receiving their share of zakat. Apart from Datuk Sharuddin, attending the programme were BPlant Head of Nak Business Unit Faridan Othman and PVATM Sandakan Branch Head Jamal Pinandis Lim.
BPlant recognises and appreciates the role of ATM in safeguarding the safety and sovereignty of our country and its citizens.
