In fostering better relationship with the public, we constantly involve with community activities in the surrounding areas of our estates and mills. On top of the usual Corporate Social Responsibility activities, we have held engagement with several government departments and agencies in playing our roles as a socially responsible company.

In creating a safer environment, our Rimba Nilai Business Unit in Sabah had recently collaborated with Polis Diraja Malaysia from IPD Beluran to conduct a community policing programme with the locals. The community engagement was aimed at preserving public safety, especially those living in our estates and surrounding villages. The programme provided the necessary platform for police and locals to establish a safe community with public cooperation in curbing crime.

The programme was attended by Beluran OCPD Supt. Kasim Muda, Rimba Nilai’s estate managers, as well as village headmen from the Sugut, Paitan and Beluran areas who represented the community.

The implementation of a community-oriented policing is a proactive measure in creating a safer and harmony environment, which not only bring benefit to our estates but the surrounding community as well.
