We recently held a series of engagements with fresh fruit bunches (FFB) suppliers at our operations in Sabah.
 
A total of 16 palm oil smallholders and outgrowers participated in two separate engagement sessions held at Tawai Palm Oil Mill and Segamaha Palm Oil Mill. Both engagements were conducted by the Sustainability and Safety Department (SSD).
 
The regularly held engagement aims at communicating Boustead Plantations Berhad’s commitment to purchase FFB from a responsible source as per our Sustainability Policy on No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) commitment.
 
During the sessions, SSD took the opportunity to provide updates on the latest regulation related to traceability and transparency as per the recent European Union Deforestation Regulations.
 
The engagements provided an opportunity for BPlant to foster stronger relationships and improve sustainability compliance among smallholders and outgrowers.
