Traceability & Supply Chain

We recognise the importance of traceability and transparency throughout our value chain as we strive to provide assurance for the sustainability of our products. Our traceability approach enables us to identify potential risks in our full supply chain. This increases our abilities in establishing engagement with our FFB Suppliers as well as our crude palm oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel (PK) buyer. Correspondingly, 100% of our outside crops are sourced from external suppliers within Malaysia.

All our suppliers are required to adhere to our Vendor Code of Conduct (VCOC). This document is available on our website (https://bousteadplantations.com.my/vendor-registration/). It is provided in both English and Malay languages. The document is shared with all our new vendors, and any revisions will also be communicated to existing vendors in case there are changes to the VCOC.

Our VCOC stipulates that our appointed suppliers must commit to BPlant's Sustainability Policy and uphold the following principles:

  • Environmental Management: Suppliers are expected to address environmental concerns, encompassing energy consumption, climate change impact (including greenhouse gas emissions), water usage, impacts on biodiversity, pollution control, waste reduction, and responsible resource utilization.
  • Social Responsibility: Suppliers are required to address social issues, including the prevention of child labour and forced labour, ensuring non-discrimination and equal opportunities, upholding the right to freedom of association, supporting the right to collective bargaining, adhering to health and safety standards, and managing working hours.
